I’ve been thinking about a tattoo like that for some time now, only I want one that is indistinguishable from the real thing. For that reason, I’ve been photographing my chain ring marks (no rookies over here!), waiting for the "perfect one" to take the the tattoo parlor.
Of course, I will probably regret the "make it look real" decision after the 1 billionth attempt to wipe it off..

Actually, you’re both wrong! He got that rookie mark by riding the bike facing BACKWARDS with the legs crossed over the top bar! Talk about hard core!(Picture it in your mind!::GRIN::)

ummmm…. wouldn’t a ‘Rookie Mark’/ ‘Cat 5 Mark’/ ‘Sharkbite’ (yeah, that’s what we call it here in CT) normally be toward the INSIDE of the RIGHT calf?

I bet there are like 10,000 riders, right now, who’ve mused about getting the Sharkbite tattoo (including me).
Kudos to Karen’s hubby for actually doing it, and for continuing to kick butt, even as he approaches middle age!
