Relatives in town this weekend. That, and my wife said 'no.' Besides, I'd hate to get my rear kicked by someone with a cracked backbone. That'd just be embarrassing

Elden - bummer about Spamalot. Keep trying, it's worth it. It's playing in Boston, too, if you ever get up that way...

I think we should name this event "The Fat 40 Tibble Ride."

May I remind you of the 'Kenny and the broken crank' incident? Which is more detrimental to riding, having 1 crank or having a bad back? My bet is that Kenny crushes us all and then after the ride mentions that he wasn't able to feel his legs during the ride and his back hurt so bad that he had to stop and puke 3 times.

dug, how did you guys do in the race at Sundance?

Fatty, I might be able to make it Saturday morning. I'll email (as instructed. I'm nothing if not obedient).

Botched

P.S. I herewith challenge dug and Kenny to a 'no-holds-barred descend-off' down pine hollow on Saturday (if they are still REALLY sore from their crashes).

Hey Fatty,
bring the Dahon and we can hit some NY singletrack. Maybe an hour or so from the city.

Count me in. No, wait, I have to work Saturday. And I don't live in Utah. Also, no injuries to report.

turns out while you've been off in gay san francisco, i went out and rode tibble today with esteemed FC troll Tim, from New Zealand (caps used out of respect for Tim, who rocks, and his friend Niel (or is it Neil?), who also rocks).

Tibble, and its accompanying Pine Hollow and Ridge and Mud Springs, are in as good a shape as they are likely to be all year. I'll be there Saturday (but it probably won't be as good).

On the upside, I crashed in the final mile right in front of Tim from New Zealand, cracked my helmet, rashed up my lower back, left leg, and have a deeeeeeep bone bruise on my left shoulder. So I've got that going for me. Which is nice.
