Thank you for sharing you and your family's very personal feelings, reactions and tribulations. I'm especially touched reading your efforts to document your lives together along with the deep openness and honesty you've expressed. I think it's beautiful that your wife, your children and friends are being so conscious about your time to connect with one another in a meaningful way. It doesn't always go that way, and that's a shame as fear and denial robs people of that very stark but powerful opportunity. I'll mention that I know of one person who received the "month's to live" diagnosis who survives and is healthy today - (not through a bunch of hearsay, but someone I was with when he was going though this). His doctors opened him up and found he was laced with tumors. They told him to make right with his family and all. He did get some experimental treatment, but he also spent a great deal of time being consciously tender with himself and going inward. It was a surprise to everyone, including him, when his cancer receded and went away all together. I hope you can read that without it being mind sabotage, but I mean well. Different cancer, different situation. If you're interested in talking with him, I can track him down for you. I wish you and your wife and family all the best and cherished time.

God Bless your family! Just happened upon this blog and it literally stopped me in my tracks. May you all find the strength that God has for you to continue to enjoy each and every moment He gives you and for making these memories for your family for years to come. And I think that your children will cherish the videos as much as you will. It has made me aware that we really should be cherishing and celebrating each family member in this way everyday as we really never know what is ahead for us. Thanks for sharing and many many blessings to Susan and your family from Muskegon Michigan. We are preparing for our Relay For Life in June and I will be there to celebrate the 4 cancer survivors in my family! Praise God for each day we get. We will decorate a special bag for Susan and keep her light burning! Be blessed!

Fatty,

This is TOTALLY random, but not really. Since you are going down memory lane with Susan...I started to go down memory lane with your website. I re-read your Open Letter to Assos and couldn't stop laughing. Well - I went to their website (www.assos.com) and guess what...COMING SOON...NEW WEBSITE. Please tell me that you are soon to receive your consulting fee!!! They even have "models" that look like "riders"...although they are mooning me as I look at the site!

You will absolutely cherish what you are doing with Susan. I did this with my grandmother and have 2 hours of audio tape about her life. It is SO great to hear her voice!!

Bucky I'm reasonably confident it puts you smack bang in the middle of the Orbea factory at Mallabia in the Basque Country - the Heart of the Pyrenees. I just include it so my bikes don't get homesick.

B4L, that's what I thought. Your lat and long (43 11 N 2 32 W) would put you near Carcasonne...

Seems I can always count on you Fatty to say what needs to be said.Especially,lately.I maintain that we are the lucky ones to have someone who can bring forth in words, tears and humor what it is important in our lives.Frankly I`m tempted to grab for the brake lever but I think we can all ride this one out. My best to you,Susan and the kids...........P.S your following here in Alaska is HUGE.
