This year's solo battle is shaping up to be one for the ages! The two leaders checked into Chillicothe, OH at the same time earlier today. After racing around the clock for the last week they are tied 2500 miles into this no drafting race. They have 500 miles to go to reach Annapolis. I raced RAAM on a four person team a couple of years ago and was amazed at the soloists. They get by on an hour or two of sleep off the bike every day for however long it takes them to finish the cross-country trip.
