@VA Biker……sometimes it’s best to not know any better. I had to go buy a trainer to do this ride too. Never had one before.

@RobinCanTri, when someone asks me if I want to do a race my first question is “Are they giving out medals?” heehee. I want something to show for all my effort. I won in my division too….It was the “I am so awesome, Dude” division.

I’m loving reading all the stories, what fun this was.

You go girl!! I love your medal, and wish I’d thought about making some for our ride! I’ve finished a few 1/2 marathons only because there was bling at the finish line!

I won my division too… the “Overweight Newbie Rider Transitioning from a Hybrid Bike with a Cushy Saddle to a Road Bike with Associated Hard as a Rock Saddle” division. It’s very exclusive… :)

I’m a longtime cyclist, and it’s staggering to me that someone would make a trainer the tool to deliver their first century. It’s an extremely impressive feat.

Congratulations and thank you for what you do in life.

I know an oncology nurse and the empathy, strength, devotion, and compassion embodied in one person is kinda’ overwhelming for those us less-capable folks. (I’m thinking that you’re all made the same way, and if my friend is the blueprint, that ain’t a bad thing!)
