That's +1,000,000 to everything Fatty said in this posting. Love Phil and Paul's call of any race.

They do need to bone up on their California knowledge a bit, though. Heard them say some less than educated (to put it nicely) things about California in their call this year... can't remember specifics, but a few times, I was like WTF?! You know all the details about some little chateau in the Loire valley, but didn't know that about California?

Phil and Paul are the voice of the Tour for me - and other any race they cover. You really realize how good they are when you watch a race without 'em.

I dig Bob Roll as well. Verses should save some dough by just hiring those three folks. Skip the rotating cast of others that are tossed in there every tour.

Let the three cover the whole event - will Roll allowed to really cut loose as needed. Don't dumb it down for the new viewers. They don't get it anyway.....

I think everyone hears Phil and Paul in their head as they complete a climb by themselves at one time or another. We all like to hear "he's dancing on those peddles" or "he's done it today" after conquring that hill.

I guess us middle aged cyclists never stop thinking what could have been... he gets the win at the line.

Thanks Phil, Paul, and Fatty
