I agree with Jenn, come ride the Whiskey. I have ridden all over the Southwest, and this is my favorite.

You have to try the Abu Dhabi Triathlon in United Arab Emirates. It has a monster of a bike leg but you get to ride around the awesome F1 Yas Circuit. 2011 will be the second year and 2010 had a massive positive response.

Check out their website http://www.abudhabitriathlon.com/

Come and join us in South Florida for the Miami Man half iron event on 11/13/11. It is held at a great park and you run through the Miami Zoo during your 13.1. It is a great event with a very friendly atmosphere....you'll be close to the Keys when you are done so you can scoot down there for a sunset in Mallory Square (not to be missed)!

Wish I could give you some suggestions on rides but I'm a runner that happens to own a bike....a bike that gets dusted off for RFTR each year. But, I'll be busy running in 2011. I'm planning on running a half each month with the exception of March & Nov when I'll be running fulls on Team LiveStrong. Calling it my "Coast to Coast LiveStrong 2011 Tour." Starting in Vegas in December, doing an indoor half in Milwaukee in January, Austin (can't pass up a reason to go to ATX!)or NOLA in Feb, LA Marathon in March, Louisville or Champaign, IL in April, Pittsburh (Team LAF again) in May, something in Chicago in June, still looking for a July, another Chicago in August, Rochester, NY (to visit family) in September, LiveStrong Challenge in October (adding an extra 26 miles to my normal 45 mile ride), and then NYC Marathon in November.

Doubt I'll be nearly as fast as you and the Runner....trying to get in training with three kids is tough but the thought of doing it for LiveStrong and cancer awareness will keep me going,. Those we've lost to cancer were in a lot more pain and agony than I'll feel running.

Let me know if you need to fit in an extra run!

No, it's not a triathlon. This will be the 45th anniversary. Usually held the last Sunday in April, but because of Easter they moved it a week later. Nothing beats late winter (April/May isn't spring in MN) riding. The event is held regardless of the weather. Snow, sleet, torrential downpours. Says a lot about Minnesotans and their love of bikes to be out riding in that.

Fatty! You need to check out the Off-road Assault on Mt Mitchell near Asheville, NC. For that matter, any of the events from Blue Ridge Adventures are awesome. http://www.blueridgeadventures.net/ Bring your singletrack skills. Sweet NC singletrack is awesome! Let me know if you make it over here. Make a trip out of it. Asheville is really nice.

By the way, nice work at Leadville this year.

Fly over to the South of France and ride 175km (2500m of climbing) race in memory of Andrei Kivilev with Alex Vinokourov, and a few hundred others. It's on 28 May, the weather's usually great, the parcour's fantastic and you get to eat some of my delicious cakes when you finish. What more could you ask for?
