Breaking News:

As of this morning it appears that the UCI, in abject fear of the popular uprising generated by the Fat Cyclist and the power he has in the cycling community, has backed down–at least partially–and lowered the cycling approval fees. One UCI official, who asked not to be named, said that “when ‘Fatty’ talks, people listen.”

Pat McQuaid, visibly sweating, declined comment.

I went to put some air in my rear tire this morning and realized I didn’t have a UCI-approved presta valve. I’m afraid I will have to deduct all the miles ridden on that tire from my year-to-date total.
