Hey Fatty,

Hilarious!!! We went on a hilly, windy ride today and I have been feeling guilty because of my slow pace (although doing my best) I was holding my husband back. And now I don't feel so guilty holding my husband back.

Fatty -
As I read your blog today I am grabbed by Observation 2 and the follow up observation. Observation 2 gets my attention because just recently my wife has decided she would like to start cycling with me. We have not gotten her a bike yet but just the thought of getting to follow from time to time my insanely hot wife makes me want to buy her an even nicer bike so she will be sure to love the sport and I will be sure to love the view.

Now with that being said, follow up observation comes into play as I may need to poit out that the awesome picture on the header of this great page depicts a woman climbing a hill with a man in trail. I would like to point out that this picture is my sister and I. And in no way do I feel like my masculinity is at stake by the few of this picture by hundreds of people. Intact this is one of my proudest moments caught on film. This was around mile 25 of my first century ride. One which has sparked a passion driving me to shoot for a goal of 3 century rides this year.

Thank you Fatty for the wonderful FaceTime on your website. I will enjoy it even from the back of the pack.

If you look hot in or out of the saddle you're far less likely to be passed closely by cars or, frankly, passed at all. Just a thought...

Good one. High V for the manhood. However, I think some of the 'scenery' is now going to drop back for a pull. DANG!!!

Yeah, as I got in to cycling after 50 and riding hills for the first time and realized that one of the perks of riding is checking out the cute male butts in their lycra shorts and tights, it doesn't bother me how slow I am in comparison to others because the "view from behind" is great! ;-)

Right, she doesn't draft because it more fun to pull :/
& I'm sure your butt is every bit as attractive as hers Fatty. She surly is missing a great opportunity for some ogling ;-)

I disagree entirely with Anthony's post :

"I do notice that women don’t road ride the same way as guys do though. They don’t seem as keen on the idea that you need to ramp the pace as high as you can, at all times, trying your best to ride everyone off your wheel while looking like you’re just out for a casual ride, sitting on the tops and breathing easily. Then, of course, attacking each other viciously on every hill. Those women sure are missing out. I have no idea why they don’t think that is awesome, good fun."

This is exactly how I ride and enjoy dropping as many men as I can on the way!!
You clearly have not ridden with the right woman yet!!

I tried that the other day, drafting behind a hot chick. Unfortunately, she wasn't my spouse, just some random hottie. Neither she, nor my wife, were happy about this (I made the mistake of recanting the experience later). Still, it was worth it.
