"For the first time I can remember, the weather on the White Rim was absolutely perfect. Warm, but not hot — maybe 71 degrees (not Celsius)."

I have to ask - did you phrase it this way because you didn't want to look up the correct spelling of Fahrenheit? Because I would have done the same thing. Yes, I just looked it up.

You understand me too well. That is in fact exactly why. - FC

You know, you are always doing fundraisers where you give away bikes or swag or even trips to do great rides with famous peoople. I think you should do a fundraiser where the prize is to come visit you and do some of the terrific rides in your area! Seriously!

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Stay tuned. - FC

Great ride - hard ride - very fast, strong riders - I finished last and was thus subjected to heckling as I pushed my bike up Horse Thief - I had to pedal up the last couple of switchbacks to avoid being passed by a woman hiker - as always, it was fun riding with Fatty

Did anyone notice how they are all looking dead? The moments rest before the fight for the food. This can be deceiving.

"And I really, really liked it. It was nice, not knowing — or caring — how far along the ride was. In fact, I’d say that the ride went quicker because I didn’t know."

you've done this ride six thousand times. there is no time on the ride when you don't know exactly how far you've come and how much you've climbed.

i'm just saying.

IT Guy is like a hero for the rest of us. I assume The Hammer is part Wonder Woman...she clangs her toe clips together and just goes. IT Guy has to earn it.

AND, is anyone else superduper excited we got our Grand Slam stickers yesterday?!
