My students love the snotulum I get riding to school on cold days. Now, I have a brilliant name for it, which they will still respond to with, “Ewwww! Gross!”

So I’m reading along and looking at the pictures, and thinking “wow, what a sexy smile Fatty has” and then comes the description of the snotulum.

What a mood killer. :-)

Either that, or I’m just jealous because there’s no way I could do that ride!

Moab High School Mountain Bike Team’s initial meeting participants.

Hi,
I am starting a High School Mountain Bike team in Moab. Our Director, Lori Harward, just offered our team an opportunity to raise some money. There was a CYClfest Event that had two left over items: a Jersey and Short set signed by Jeff Louder and a certificate for a 4-women entry into Pamperfest (Rockwell Relay, $90 value) which is coming right up in July. I have been following your Rockwell Relay Report. You appear to have a darn good readership. Would you be amenable to helping Moab sell these items?

Best Western Canyonlands Inns donated a stay to Cyclefest, which brought in the exact amount to register the Moab High School Team. So we are official!

It will cost $45 a race per Student/Athlete. There are 4 races scheduled for end of Spt and beginning of Oct. That’s $180 for one racer. The initial meeting had 5 responding student/athletes. They already ran an aid station for a half marathon lst month to earn $200. The $200 is marked to pay $22 for any adult volunteers for the background check. The two coaches were paid out of that. I am lining up some of Moab’s pro mtn bike racers to influence this co-ed team.

Ah, I only wish I’d skipped the snotulum section…feeling a bit nauseous now.

On another note, I’m very interested in the cool Utah biking tour mentioned above.My husband wants us to do something like that next Spring while he is on sabbatical. Can’t wait to talk more about it in Davis. =)
