My psycologist got mad at them and told them she and I found them infuriating and was frustrated with their poor service. Cigna's response was "Well he can go somewhere else." I feel bad for the frustration that has been going on with this company. The only good thing is it isn't just you. Tell your son it does get better, it really does. Yes, the back-of-the-pack-ers suffer long and hard on the day of the race, but if you do a cumulative addition of suffering, the hours and hours in the saddle that you've spent (and suffered) this year (and previous years) preparing your body to have the fitness required to do the race in less time is most likely way more than the singular day of suffering for the less well trained racers. That said, I’ve done it both ways, and both require a lot of suffering.

We'd thought about lining up at the start and doing the best we could, but didn't think it was safe for us or the other riders in the event.
