I love the thought of a team relay. However, being that I’m in the Chicago area (i.e. I ride roads that are nearly dead flat and nearly at sea level), I’m concerned about the climbing and the altitude of the Rockwell Relay.

Anyone know of any bike relays run in the midwest? I did a Google search and only came up with one that was more of a go around in circles than a point-to-point with a team support vehicle.

Darn! By noon today I hope to be halfway to LA on my way to Catalina Island (where the Buffalo roam…) Dirt Fondo this weekend.

Fatty Nic Grillo is going out MTB’ing about 6 weeks after a collarbone incident. It seems to be his ‘race’ and a little collarbone not going to hold him back! Looks like fun!
