Excellent ride and report. If I find myself at our Alberton facility again for work, I may have to find this mtn bike park and look for a mtn bike rental!

@Raymond D You've set a high bar for next year! Kids in the bike trailer. TV Time. Maybe a Lion or Elephant segment. what! no lions or elephants in town? what has Africa come to?

Took me a moment to realize finishing in the dark. So. Hemisphere=winter in June. Duh!

We're waiting on your tandem report? Is your wife still talking to you? Your effort has respect...at least you're still around to write about it.

This is wonderful. I'm just amazed and inspired by all the different rides people have done. Also, I'm thinking if you've done 600 miles in 9 days, doing a century is just not that much of a stretch - but I have to admit to having similar concerns.

Great report from South Africa. What a cool place to ride. And Steve B. loved your report also. I think it would have been hard to keep going when your house was right there. We had to keep going on our ride or we would be stuck out in the wilderness in the snow with bears and moose and wolves with nobody to come pick us up! @davidh-marin,ca our elevation gain was 8730 feet. Our ride was just a warm up to the Sluice Box 100 - https://sites.google.com/site/sluicebox100/home - a totally crazy 100 mile mtn bike ride/race which is just a warm up for us to do Leadville in August. If you missed my report go to comments under the Noodleator's report to find the link.
