At least he died with his bike, doing something he wanted to be doing. I only hope that I’m that lucky when the time comes to cash in my chips.

So all the winners have been notified? Rats…Leroy’s dog told me I won something, and they were just slow in notifying me because they were really busy. And I gave him my credit card # too (he said they needed it to hold my prize). I should have known it was a scam when he sent me the email…I just figured he had bark-recognition software…(cuz everybody knows dogs can’t type). BAD DOG!

Can’t wait to read your writeup. You were flying when I saw you going down Columbine so would love to know what made the race intense for you.

Kudos to all the friends of Fatty I saw on the ride, most of whom were way ahead of me. But, hey, I’m wearing a belt buckle today after finishing in 11:23 in my first Leadville, and I’m proud of that, especially since I got a flat at the top of the first climb, and was in last place by the time I fixed it.

So, if perhaps you are leaving Austin on Friday as I fly in, I can get a preview at the airport? I’d wear an FC t-shirt so you could spot me but they seem to have shrunk a bit over the summer. Strange.
