You know what would have been cool?

When the 50+ guy called your nephew “compadre,” your nephew and you could have looked at each other and recreated the witty repartee between the Cisco Kid and Pancho that traditionally closed the old Cisco Kid radio show:

You: “Ohhhh Pancho.”

Nephew: “Ohhhhh Cisco.”

That would have been cool.

Or so obscure as to plant small seedlings of doubt as to whether you knew something Mr. Compadre didn’t or everyone had just been in the sun too long.

Now that I think about it, those aren’t mutually exclusive.

Reading your write up I have assembled my 2017 Rockwell Relay team(s). One men’s and 1 co-Ed. I even know who would drive the van in relief.

I should probably let me team mates know to block their calendars do they don’t disappoint me be not showing up at the start.

I agree with the others. I think this is the best paced multi-parter you’ve produced. That showdown needed some ten gallon hats (or maybe five gallon for you :-) ) Light sabres, swords, lances….

I don’t see a “50+” team listed, what is their team name?

I’ll be on the road on Monday, back from the NW Tandem Rally. Not as fast as The Fatty Family, by a long stretch, but a longer bike, by a long stretch.

I’ll let my stoker drive, so I can read the “next of the story”. Gettin’ good!

I’ve chosen to not include the team name at this time, but will in a future post. I have good reasons. – FC
