The Fattest of MSN Spaces

08.18.2005 | 8:17 pm

It looks like The Fat Cyclist is being linked to from the What’s Your Story? page. Of course, it’s exciting to have lots of new visitors, although getting recognition for being fat is a little like being famous for having an enormous goiter. Hey, I’ll take it.

Big thanks to my sister — who has a pretty snappy blog of her own – for nominating my space.

You aren’t just famous you are a RIOT! The guys at my work come by my office literally every day to find out why I am LAUGHING OUT LOUD…and sometimes crying while doing so!CONGRATS … on the featured MSN Space, your weight loss, your Leadville 100 accomplishment, being featured on CyclingNews!BTW – if you are ever in Las Cruces, New Mexico be certain to grab a REAL burrito and guacamole. The chile is excellent too! Depending on how hot you like it, it can clean the pipes out too (to help with weight loss of course!)

you earned it! a friend of mine showed me your tour de france final exam and i thought it was hilarious so i took the link to your blog. of course my first reaction as i scrolled down the page and saw how long it was and how you wrote every day was : jeez, doesn’t this guy have a life?! but as a week past by and a few days more, soon the question wasn’t whether or not YOU had a life. it was whether or not I had one. i’m addicted to this blog. yes, this does make me feel like i have reached a level of pathetic i have never reached before. it is not, however, a level of pathetic i am ashamed of. three of my hobbies are cycling, reading and writing (i like you’re style of writing). therefore, it is only natural for me to like your blog so much. so thank you for entertaining me on a daily basis. you’re pretty cool for a middle aged fat guy.(now I feel even more pathetic for feeling the need to post a comment…)

samantha, a lot of people ask whether i have a life, considering the volume of text i write for this blog. the answer is simple, really. big quantities are no problem when you don’t concern yourself with quality. and if you ever start to feel pathetic reading my blog, take comfort in the fact that you at least are not continuously hitting reload on the statistics page.biking, reading, writing: good hobbies, as far as i’m concerned. only thing you need to make your life complete are lots of carne asada burritos, with guacamole and sour cream. and cholula hot sauce.mmmmmmm.
