My Mistake

03.8.2006 | 9:23 pm

In yesterday’s post, I promised to be funny today. So here’s something funny:

Q. What’s the most naive thing in the world?

A. A dad, who, because he is staying home with his four-year-old twins for the day while his wife goes to the hospital for some tests, thinks he will have a time to write.

And those tests? All negative. Which is to say, negative news is good news.

I hereby declare myself relieved.

Congratulations all the way around. Sorry to hear you are leaving this neck of the woods. But, it sounds like a good move back.

as we all know, good things come in threes.

instantly your weight will be down to 158lbs.

Great news, FC.   Ricky and I were thinking of you as we sat at the top of the Grove climb, this afternoon.  We started in a blizard and by the time we made it to the top it was blue skys and sunny with an increadible view of the valley and skiff of new snow on the scrub oak. We’re looking forward to your return.

Congrats Fatty on passing through the 2 scary things.  I was hoping to have a ride with you but now that you are moving further away the chance is getting slim.  Hey, I bloated up to 165 the past couple of days – maybe I can take your title as fatty.Good luck in Utah.  Happens that my company is a client of both your former and new employer.  Can you say what you will be doing there?

What a week, huh?   Three things….  First and foremost, great news on your wife’s  negative results. What a huge relief.  Please pass along best wishes.

Second.  Sorry to hear your leaving the company and the great northwest.  Best of luck w/ the new job.  As evidenced by this blog, they’ve got a winner.

Finally… Very cool that you’ll be able to get back closer to home. I do hope we can get together this summer.   Unfortunately, Leadville won’t happen for me, but I’m planning on coming to Park City later this to ride w/ my brother.   Perhaps you can show us some of your specials climbs then.   Cheers.
