On our way to Outdoor Expo

Originally uploaded by Fat Cyclist.

Kenny and I are in the bus on the way to the Interbike Outdoor Expo.

I have had to tell Kenny to stop kicking the seat in front of him
three times. I swear, I can’t take him anywhere.

I’ve got a messenger bag with thirty Fat Cyclist T’s in it. It’s
remarkably heavy so I’m looking for any excuse I can find to give them
away.

So far I have given away three — all three were to people who
recognized Kenny from the blog and wanted me to take their pictures
with them.

I’ll take a couple of those T’s — size Large.

    Elden,

You may be interested in the services offered by my business. Rent-A-Stalker specializes in ego-boosting appearances by one or more of our actors. You select the location and level of adulation – from simply being recognized by a stranger to your own dedicated stalker. I guarantee each encounter will be perceived as 100% authentic by your audience (family, friends, coworkers, peers, boss, etc.) or your money back. I think you’ll find our rates surprisingly reasonable. Call me today so we can design a campaign to boost your celebrity.

P.S. We have several Interbike campaigns underway (surely you understand I can’t give you any names – we are absolutely discrete) with a few openings available that I assure you will boost your profile at the show.

    Fatty -

I have a lot of bike shop friends who have headed out to Interbike. I am jealous and curious. I really wish I could check it out. Someday, maybe.

In the meantime, would you get lots of pictures to nicely illustrate what the less fortunate, such as myself, are missing? Thanks!

I will be driving over tomorrow, early so I can make it to your panel. Looking forward to meeting you and whoever that other guy is.

Free T-shirt? Sweet. Lets see…1100 miles round-trip to/from Vegas + time off work + hotel & food = $800.00. I’m getting in my car now.

    Fatty,
Is Kenny wearing one of those “I’m with Fatty” shirts I’ve heard so much about? (you owe me royalties when you start selling those)

You’re going to be great at the conference Fatty! I hate public speaking too but somehow the worrying about it is always worse than the doing.

You should just kick Kenny in the shin, that’ll make him behave. But it might give him more attention on the are you OK front. So you would still lose out on the recognition angle, although the Police report might help people figure out who you are. You know with the Cops in Vegas angle and all.

Here is what the conversation between Fatty and Kenny is like on the bus..

Kenny – “Are we there yet?”
    Fatty – “No”
Kenny – “Are we there yet?”
    Fatty – “No”
Kenny – “I have to use the bathroom”
Fatty – “I told you to go before we left”
Kenny – “Are we there yet?”
    Fatty – “No”
    Kenny – “I’m hunnnngggrrryyyy”
Fatty – “I told you to eat ALL your breakfast”

I’ll take a Large or two if you’re offering them up! You know, so I could better publicize the site! ;)

Oh, y’all are going to have so much fun. I can’t wait to hear about your adventures, run ins with (other) celebrities, and the don’t-know-how-we-rode-without-them products being introduced to the market this year.

I like the photo – Kenny has that “I’m Leaving On A Jetplane” look.

I dunno – this is beginning to remind me of “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”. Elden, you are in so much trouble.

I like the way Kenny’s soul patch is silhouetted in the window.

That aside, I’m a bit curious as to why pictures with Kenny are so coveted. Don’t get me wrong, I hold Kenny in the highest regard… but his ability to coordinate outfits has not be lost on me. Dark blue helmet, pink jersey, light blue shorts, red bike frame. (See previous post). Where as, I have noticed that Fatty is much better at matching colors.

    Am I being too much of a suck-up? Can I have a t-shirt now?

Forget the shirts, I’m ready for the next wave of jerseys. I confess to being drunk for a week or two during the time I was supposed to order them form myself and my lady, and when I was finally sober enough to enter a credit card number it was all over.

saw a guy wearing one of your shirts at the Tour-de-Droit last Saturday in Detroit.
